That’s right. It’s seldom talked about but when the Spirit of God fell on the original believers in Acts 2, they left the upper room. 3,000 people couldn’t fit in the upper room. The 3,000 were in the streets and the 120 went out to them. When the Spirit fell they had to go out preaching and sharing the good news.
Are we trying to keep the Spirit in the church? Or are we allowing Him to lead us outside the church to talk to people about Him?
Some may argue that the upper room was likely an open room on the roof of a home. The same contrast applies. They were willing to boldly live their faith before people who didn’t believe the way they did.
Are we doing that?
The Holy Spirit was given to make us bold witnesses according to Jesus in Acts 1:8.
Be bold today!
